Our story
Evien Physiotherapy stemmed from our clinical founder and director Reuben's passion for injury prevention and reablement.
“It's amazing what half an hour of basic balance and strengthening exercises, and playing some games can do. Our patients often go from being slumped in a chair staring out the window, to sat up (or even walking) with a smile on their face. That’s why I do what I do”.
Our growing older population need our help more than ever. Our NHS colleagues work extremely hard but simply don’t have the time and resources to offer as much physio as they would like to optimise health and recovery. At Evien Physiotherapy we aim to fill that gap, get people moving, having fun and enjoying life.
Reuben is a chartered Physiotherapist with both NHS and private physiotherapy experience. He has helped hundreds of patients in both the hospital and community settings. He has worked in specialist elderly care rehabilitation units, specialist neurological rehab unit and specialist musculoskeletal clinics throughout his carer.
Our approach
We provide specialist physiotherapy for all conditions associated with advancing age. Our number one priority is provide fun, achievable and caring physiotherapy to clients to with the aim of improving quality of life. Whether your goal is to prevent falls and improve mobility or recovering from an injury or surgery or managing a chronic condition, we believe specialist physiotherapy can help everyone.
We aim to make therapy as accessible as possible by meeting you in your own home or care home. We bring all our equipment and can also provide advice on how to adapt your home or make use of specialist equipment to make your life easier and safer.
